Agnes Theresa Wood

Funeral services for Agnes Theresa Wood will be held Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Patrick, with Father Matthew Simmons officiating. Burial will be at Mississippi Veterans Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Wood, age 86, of Meridian, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Bedford Care.

In addition to being a mother of ten children she was a nurse for over 45 years where she was the Director of nurses at several different hospitals and nursing homes.

Survivors include her children, Larry Wood (Becky), John Wood (Bonnie), Linda McConnell (Pat), Robert Wood, Tricia Mathews (Jeff), Mary Anderson (Shawn), Susan Savage (David), Chris Wood (Kim), Alan Wood (Stephanie); 26 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Albert Wood; son, Mike Wood and daughter-in-law Pam; brothers, Pat Doherty, David Doherty, Thomas Doherty; sister, Mary Alice Chappel.
