Alan Howse

Funeral services for Mr. Alan Howse will begin at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at Pine Forest Baptist Church with the Reverends Andy May and Billy Goodwin officiating. Service music will be provided by Mr. Cary Luke. Interment will follow in the Pine Forest Baptist Church Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Howse, 75, of Collinsville, died Friday, March 8, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Alan was an avid outdoorsman; he loved hunting and fishing with his family and friends. His favorite job was being Papaw to his grandchildren and great-granddaughter. He enjoyed attending fish fry’s and fellowshipping with his friends over a meal. Alan was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church where he faithfully attended and served meals to shut-ins with the Body and Soul Ministry. Alan’s favorite hobby was sitting on his front porch in the rocking chair with his four-legged companion, Bug.

Mr. Howse is survived by his loving wife of over 55 years, Jane Howse; children Clay Howse (Tara) and Kim Agent (Richard); grandchildren, Jeffrey Manley (Victoria), Jacob Manley (Fiancée Susie Davis), and Christopher Agent (Kandi); and great-grandchildren, Mary Margaret Manley, Hazelynn Agent, and Gunnar Agent. His brother, Pat Howse (Diann), as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Mr. Alan is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mabel Howse; and one brother, Robert “Boy” Howse.

Pallbearers will be Danny Luke, Bill Pace, Joe Roberts, Kenneth Gressett, Til Prater, and Mike Barber with Glen Hancock and Joe Pace serving as honorary pallbearers.

The Howse Family suggests memorials be made as donations to Pine Forest Baptist Church Building Fund in lieu of flowers.
