Albert N Alston

Graveside services for Mr. Albert N. Alston will begin at 11:30 AM Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Dr. Will Wall officiating. Interment will follow graveside rites. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Alston, 92, of Meridian, died Friday, August 23, 2024, at Diversicare of Meridian.

Mr. Alston was a veteran of the U.S. Army; he served in both the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He retired as a sergeant after 20 years of service. Mr. Albert was a member of First Baptist Church Meridian where he faithfully attended as long as his health permitted. In his spare time, he enjoyed restoring classic cars, especially the Model A Ford.

Mr. Albert is survived by his daughters, Wanda Lingerfelt (Gary) and Brenda Holland (Mike); his grandson, Troy Holland; five step-grandsons, as well as a host of friends and extended family members.

Mr. Alston is preceded in death by his wife, Doris Alston; his parents Lamar and Arcola Alston; and his brother, Billie L. Alston.

The Alston Family would like to express special thanks to his close friend and physician, Dr. Doug Phillips, for his friendship and care throughout the years.

The Alston Family suggests memorials be made as donations to First Baptist Meridian or to a charity of your choice.

The Alston Family will receive guests from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM prior to departure for graveside services.
