Graveside service for Albert Guy Purvis, IV will be held Tuesday, February 25, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Scooba, MS, with Bro. Kyle Routzahn officiating, burial to follow. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Mr. Purvis, age 53, of Meridian passed away Thursday, February 21, 2020, at his home in Lauderdale.

Guy was a graduate of Northeast High school. He was also named area offensive player of the year in 1985 by the Meridian Star for his Quarterback play. He enjoyed his career as a Registered Nurse for over 17 years working on the Telemetry floor at Anderson Regional Hospital. Guy will be truly missed by his family, friends and all that knew him.

Survivors include his parents, Albert Guy Purvis, Jr. and Kathy Wilson (Jimmy); twin daughters, Allie Anne and Laurie Kate Purvis; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to American Heart Association or charity of your choice.

Pallbearers will be Tim Morgan, Todd Morgan, Wes Goodrich and Mike Gully.
