Funeral services for Mr. Albert W. Bartlett will begin at 2:30 pm Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home chapel with the Reverend Dr. Jeff Myers officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Mr. Bartlett, 89, of Meridian, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Albert was a member of 15 th Ave Baptist Church for over 62 years where he served as a deacon, Sunday School Teacher, and in many other church offices. He earned his bachelor’s degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He was employed for 35 years at Soule Steam Works before beginning his own business, Bartlett Caster, which he ran for over 27 years. He will be remembered as a devoted Christian, husband, father, and grandfather. He spent his life doing God’s work of reaching others for Christ.
Mr. Albert is survived by his wife, Joan Martin Bartlett; daughters, Dale Plowman (Alex) and Trisha Bagley (Tony);and daughter-in law, Kristy Ethridge (Keith). Grandchildren Elizabeth Bartlett, Cheryl Jarman (Wade), Ashley Thomas (Ryan), Jonathan Bartlett (Whitney), Joshua Bartlett, Andrew Plowman, Abby Plowman, Richie Bagley (Ashley), Callie Cox (Evan), Kasey Owen (Scott), Karli Bartlett, Jake Ethridge, Summer Etheridge, Allie Ethridge, Kyndal Ethridge, as well as a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Mr. Bartlett is preceded in death by his first wife, Walterene F. Bartlett; sons Terry Bartlett and Anthony Bartlett. Parents William and Mattie Mae Bartlett; brothers Al Smith Bartlett, Thomas Bartlett, and J.H. Bartlett.
The family request memorials be made as donations to 15 th Avenue Baptist Church, Building Fund, in lieu of flowers.

The Bartlett family will receive guests from 12:30 pm until 2:15 pm at the funeral home prior to services. Due to current state and local restrictions, the funeral home is operating at 50% capacity, and will allow up to 100 guests indoors at once. Face coverings are required before admittance.
