Albert Wood, Jr.

A Funeral Mass for Mr. Albert Wood, Jr. will begin on Monday, August 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Meridian, MS. Interment will follow at 1:00p.m. at the MS Veterans Cemetery in Newton, MS with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Wood, 86, of Meridian passed away, Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Bedford Care of Marion.

Mr. Wood’s proudest accomplishment was his ten children and large family.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Agnes Theresa Wood, and  children, James Wood “Larry” (Becky), John Wood (Bonnie), Linda McConnell (Pat), Robert Wood, Patricia Matthews (Jeff), Mary Anderson (Shawn), Susan Savage (David), Chris Wood (Kim), and Alan Wood (Stephanie). Twenty Six Grandchildren and Numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Mr. Wood is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, John Wood, Jack Wood, and James Wood; and son Michael Wood and daughter-in-law Pam Wood.

Memorials may be made to Glenmary Missions or Aldersgate Retirement Community.
