Alice W. Lockley Graveside services for Alice W. Lockley will be held Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 2:30pm at Magnolia Cemetery. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery, with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Lockley, 84, of Meridian, passed away March 12 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Born in Demopolis, AL on August 19, 1930, Alice was a longtime resident of Meridian, MS. She graduated from Meridian High School and St. Joseph School of Nursing in Meridian. Alice was a registered nurse for 40 plus years, 30 of which she worked at Lauderdale County Health Department. Alice was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church in Meridian, MS and the Samuel Dale Chapter of DAR. Alice is survived by three children, Charles Stanley Lockley, Jr. and wife, Kathy Vincent Lockley of Meridian, George Van Lockley and wife, Dianne Roberts Lockley of Brandon, and Susan A. Lockley of Brandon. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Shea Lockley Mowdy and husband, Jason, of Meridian, Charles Stanley Lockley, III, of Meridian, David Van Lockley and wife, Dawn Wade Lockley, of Brandon, and two great-grandchildren, Taylor Alys Mowdy and Logan Daniel Mowdy, of Meridian. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Stanley Lockley, Sr., her mother, Alice Browning Winson, both of Meridian, and brother, William Winson, of Seattle, WA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Building Fund, 903 23rd Ave., Meridian, MS, 39301, or NAMI, 2618 Southland Dr., Jackson, MS 39216.
