Allan W. Stewart Services for Allan W. Stewart will be held Saturday, January 21, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at Westwood Baptist Church, with Reverend Jack O. Giles and Reverend Richie Davis officiating. Burial will be in Hamrick Cemetery in Collinsville with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Stewart, 65, of Collinsville died Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at Anderson Regional Medical Center. Mr. Stewart was employed by the Mississippi Highway Patrol on April 6th, 1973 and promoted to the rank of Corporal in July 1985, and was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in April 1988. In July 1994 he was transferred as Master Sergeant to the Criminal Investigation Bureau and was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant with CIB in September of 1996. Mr. Stewart was an expert marksman with the S.W.A.T. team. He retired from the Mississippi Highway Patrol on June 30th, 2003. Mr. Stewart also served as a Sergeant with the Mississippi Army National Guard and retired from the Army Guard in February 2003. Mr. Stewart was a member of Westwood Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Jeanette Temple Stewart of Collinsville; sons Glenn Stewart and his wife Casandra of Collinsville, Daniel Stewart and his wife Laurie of Meridian, Adam Stewart and his wife Lauren of Meridian; grandchildren Kayla Stewart, Maddie Stewart, Mary Taylor Stewart and Lydia Stewart; step- granddaughter Mya Wade; brother Ronnie Stewart and his wife Kay of Kosciusko and several precious nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Cecil Edward Stewart, mother Eloise "Bill" Hudgins Stewart and niece Renee Taylor. Pallbearers will be Mark Sharp, Roy Graham, Robert Luke, Raymond McKinnion, Terry Dearman, Waylon Temple, Wayne Gray and Joe Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be The Fellowship Men's Class of Westwood Baptist Church.
