Funeral services for Allie Ruth Walker will be held Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Siloam Baptist Church in York, Alabama with Reverend Brad Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Walker, age 95, of York, Alabama passed away Monday, May 2, 2016 at Sumter Health and Rehab.

Mrs. Walker was a longtime member of Siloam Baptist Church, a dedicated Christian, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and loved deeply by her family. She was known for her sense of humor and making others laugh and for her love of painting.

She is survived by her daughters; Ann Alexander (Charles), Carolyn S. Ballard (Leon); her grandchildren, Brian Shaw (Lynn) of Bessemer, AL, Scott Shaw (Krystal) of Brookhaven, MS, Melanie Shaw, fiancé (Shawn Soile), Brannon Swain (Marianne) Brewton, AL., Jennifer Swain, Hernando, FL., and nine great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband Norman Walker, her parents, and her six brothers and three sisters.

The family wishes to express thanks to Rush Specialty and Sumter Health and Rehab. for all the love and care given to our Mom!

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to your favorite charity.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 5, 2016 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the church.
