Memorial services for Kay Long will be held Monday, October 31, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Flynn officiating. Burial will follow at Meridian Memorial Park.

Mrs. Long, age 89, of Meridian passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Diversicare of Meridian (formerly Golden Living Center).

Kay was a watchmaker, diamond setter, and seamstress. She worked at numerous jewelry stores including, Rose Jewelry, Newberry, Kirk Jewelers where she was known as "Red on the head," and Fifth Street Jewelry. She attended Prospect Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by granddaughter, Kristie L. Skipper (Randy); great-grandsons, Aaron Skipper and Ethan Skipper; daughter-in-law, Nelda Long Dearman (Jay); and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Duane Long; parents, A.E. and Emma Touchstone; sisters, Marian Elliott Dodge and Faye Flebotte; and brothers, Arthur Touchstone Jr. and Aubrey Dean Touchstone.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staffs of Diversicare of Meridian and Harper's Hospice for their dedicated care to Mrs. Kay.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 31, 2016 from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
