She was a retired bookkeeper. She was a member of Oakland Baptist Church in Hickory, MS. She worked at Tulane Dermatology Clinic. Amelia Diane Jones Archie was a godly woman, ever ready with a warm smile and a laugh. Her life was a living testimony. The journey she took with cancer only intensified her work of witnessing the love of Jesus to everyone she met. Her love of the Lord that shone on her face was evident in everything she did. Diane's beloved daughter and two grandsons were the delight of her life. She loved working in her flowers and will be remembered for her beautiful artistic ceramic work. Her warm and generous spirit is reflected in the number of family and friends she leaves behind. We are saddened at the loss of such a great friend, but rejoice that she is at home with God. Survivors include her daughter, Brandi Chaney and her husband Jeremy of Chunky, MS, two grandchildren, Peyton Chaney and Parker Chaney of Chunky, MS, one sister, Ann Miles of Granite City, Illinois, two aunts, Bonnie Nomay of Meridian, MS, and Jean Henderson of Lisman, AL, and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Lela Jones. Pallbears will be David Archie, George Dean, Albert Archie, Grady Scarbrough, Eugene Chaney and Mickey May. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Alexander and Matthew Alexander. Visitation was Tuesday from 5:00p.m.-7:00p.m. at the Funeral Home.
