Funeral services for Andrew Ray Rushing will be held Monday, July 11, 2016, at 1:00p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home, with Dr. John Temple and Brother Charles Waddell officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, with military honors and masonic rites.

Mr. Rushing, 86, of Enterprise, passed away July 8, 2016 at his home.

Ray was a member of Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church. He maintained a membership in the Scottish Rite Bodies, as well as the Enterprise Masonic Lodge #585, and the Hamasa Temple, where he served as Potentate from 1982-1983. Ray was also a member of Long Street #285 Order of the Eastern Star, where he served as Worthy Patron twice, as well as serving various other stations.  He was also an active member of the Marine Corp League and the VFW #79.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Beth Rushing; daughters, Marilyn Rushing Rowell and her husband, Ricky, of Enterprise, and Darlene Wilhelm and her husband, Charles, of Prairieville, Louisiana, and son, Clay Bounds of Enterprise; grandchildren, Carla Favata of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Ellyse Wilhelm, Bethany Wilhelm, and Josh Wilhelm, of Prairieville, Louisiana; great-grandchild, Aiden Favata; sisters, Edna Foster of Hope Hull, Alabama, Louise Barnes of Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, and twin brother, Johnny Roy Rushing of Marion; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Andrew Rushing and Mittie Rushing Price.

Pallbearers will be Tom Wilson, Charles Wilhelm, Charles Harmon, Henry Wilson, Richard Whitehead, and Larry Owen.

Honorary pallbearer will be Ronald Jones.

The family would like to extend a special THANK YOU to Sta-Home Health and Hospice, as well as Undray Dyess, Amber Skipper, Crystal Seals, and Chaplain Paul Trosper, for the professional, loving, and kind care they provided Mr. Rushing.
