Funeral services for Mrs. Angieleen Smith Goodman will begin at 12:00 PM, Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Hal Bates officiating. Burial will follow at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
Mrs. Angieleen Goodman, 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 9, 2025, at Poplar Springs Nursing Center.
Mrs. Goodman grew up on Valley Road and was a member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church where she served as the church secretary and Young Couples Sunday School teacher for many years. After moving to Collinsville, she became a faithful member of Collinsville First Baptist Church and enjoyed being a part of the Keenagers group. Her Christian faith was unwavering, she read her Bible daily and has read it through many times. She was a receptionist at Anderson Regional Medical Center in the radiology department for 27 years. She served as the president of the Resident Council at Poplar Springs Nursing Center, where she made many friends and enjoyed her time there. She was a loving wife to Ben Arthur Goodman for over 45 years. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.
Angieleen is survived by her children, Murphy Goodman (Beth) and Michelle Johnson (Ken); grandchildren, Lauren Smith (Matt), Lance Goodman (Emily), Luke Goodman (Ambrie), Reid Johnson (Julia), Erin Robison (Alex), and Cade Johnson (Alicia Benavides); great-grandchildren, Graham Smith, Anniston Smith, Harper Ann Smith, Reagan Smith, Harvey Goodman, Mac Goodman, James Goodman, Sam Goodman, John Robison, and Riley Johnson, and sister-in-law, Dale Richard, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Goodman is preceded in death by her husband, Ben Arthur Goodman; parents, Tom and Daisy Smith; and siblings, Ouida Curry, Cody Smith, Thelma Hales, and Richard Smith.
Pallbearers will be Lance Goodman, Luke Goodman, Matt Smith, Reid Johnson, Cade Johnson, and Graham Smith.
