Annie Lou Murphy Services for Annie Lou Murphy will be held Saturday, November 9, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home, with Reverend Leon Ross and Reverend Rusty Walton officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery. Annie Lou Murphy died Thursday, November 7, 2013, at Golden Living Nursing Center at the age of 82. She was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. Survived by her son, Jerry L. Murphy, wife Shirley; daughters, Carrie Ross, husband Leon, Geraldine Knight, husband Craig and Carol Miles, husband Chad. Grandchildren, Andy Murphy, wife Lindsay, Josh Murphy, wife, Katie, Norman Leon Ross, wife Adonia, Jason Ross, wife Shannon, Elizabeth Knight, Daniel Knight, Zac Jones, wife Kim, Caroline Jones, and Mason Miles. Great-grandchildren, Bailey Grace Murphy, Davis Murphy, Connor Ross, Olivia Ross, Payton Jones and Brantley Jones. Preceded in death by her husband, James V. Murphy; father, Jean Townsend; mother Mittie Townsend; brothers, Ervin Townsend, James Townsend, John Townsend and sister, Doris Clements. Pallbearers will be Craig Crouch, Randy Harper, Billy Knight, Scott Ross, Brady Rushing, Ronnie Shelton and Wesley Wheat. Honorary pallbearers will be Craig Knight and her grandsons.
