Services for Annie Ruth (Bridges) Byrd will be held Monday at 12:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Jerry Cobb of Alexandra Baptist Church, Alexandra, AL officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Byrd, 81, of Centre, AL, went to be with the Lord Wednesday night, March 17, 2010. Annie Ruth passed away at her nursing home in Centre, AL with her sons, Allen and Dennis at her side. They were accompanied by Dennis' wife, Wanda and Mrs. Byrd's nephew, Dr. Robert Raymond and his wife, Marti. Annie Ruth was married to Talmadge Byrd for 54 years. They traveled extensively while Talmadge was in the United States Air Force and settled in Meridian, MS in 1966. Annie Ruth moved to Alabama to be close to her family in 2006. Survivors include her son, Allen and his wife, Sandy of Mobile, AL, Dennis and his wife, Wanda, of Gadsden, AL, and eight grandchildren, Scott Byrd, of Collinsville, MS, Steven Byrd, of Philadelphia, MS, Angela Hill of Collinsville, MS, Charelle Moulds, of Meridian, MS, Michael Byrd, of Columbus, MS, Joe Daly, United States Air Force, Germany, Dan Daly of Glasgow, KY and April Britian, of Meridian, MS, and fourteen grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Talmadge, and son, Larry James Byrd. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday from 11:00-12:00p.m. at the Funeral Home.
