Ardell Warren Thomas Services for Ardell Warren Thomas will be held Saturday, January 4, 2014, at 12:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Jerry Read officiating. Burial will follow at Rush Cemetery in Kemper County, MS, with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Thomas, age 93, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at Golden Living Center in Meridian. She was a member of Lost Gap Independent Protestant Church in Meridian, MS. She is survived by her son, Eugene and wife Jane Thomas of Glens, MS; daughter, Sue and husband Jerry Read of DeKalb, MS; son, Kenneth and wife Rose Thomas of DeKalb, MS; and daughter-in-law Eunice Thomas of Quitman, MS. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Lisa Read Painter, Jerry Read, II, Christy Thomas Hackworth, Kenneth Thomas, II, Teresa Thomas McIntosh, and Ashley Pierce; nine great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, George H. Thomas; sons, Marvin Thomas and Leo Thomas; and grandson, Christopher Read. Pallbearers will be Paul Alawine, Ron Burton, Leland Moore, and David Turnage. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Gideons International.
