Arthur Paul Baltzell

Graveside services for Mr. Arthur Paul Baltzell will begin at 11:30 am Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Kenneth Owen officiating. Interment will follow. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Baltzell, 89, died July 2, 2019 at his home after twelve days in University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.

Mr. Baltzell retired from the Mississippi Credit Union and also retired from Riley Hospital as head of Security. During his retirement years he would go to get his breakfast at Anderson Hospital and sit and talk to many friends. He could often be found at the Shields building downtown; which he owned and spent time there, never meeting a stranger. He was a veteran of the United States Airforce in his younger years.

Mr. Arthur is survived by his children; Debra Baltzell Brantley, Brian Baltzell, Brad Baltzell and Chuck Baltzell (Ellen) and a very special friend, Jean May. Nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a host of extended family.

He is preceded in death by wife, Sharlynn Shields Baltzell; parents, Paul and Verna Baltzell, and one grandson, Charlie Baltzell.
