Funeral services for Mr. Donald Germany will begin at 10:00 am Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home chapel with the Reverends Richard Walls and Jessie Napp officiating. Interment will follow at Hays Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Mr. Germany, 84, of Meridian, was born August 2, 1934, near Union, MS, and passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at his residence.

Mr. Donald was a loving and devoted husband and father and will be greatly missed by family and friends.  The majority of his working years were spent as a Forest Technician for International Paper Company.  He was a Sunday School teacher at Shady Grove Church of God and he loved to listen to and sing hymns.  He was an avid gardener and was fond of antique farm machinery and cars.  He served on the Board of Trustees for Camp Dixon and for many years served with the Causeyville Volunteer Fire Department.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years Martha Virginia Tedder Germany; daughter, Melanie Rose (Jim Waid); sons, Donald Raphael (Karen), and Anthony Joe, and granddaughter Sarah Katherine.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. C. O.  Germany and mother, Sarah Ethel Tucker Germany.

Pallbearers will be Billy Hagwood, Donald Wayne Hagwood, Jimmy Irby, Michael Germany, Edward Germany, and Aaron Napp. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe Sullivan, Kevin Sullivan, Dennis Green, Randy Mathis, Rev. Don Talley, William Cooper and Bud Thomas.

The family requests that memorials be made to The Hays Cemetery Fund c/o Mrs. Martha Germany in lieu of flowers.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 pm Friday, November 23, 2018 and 30 minutes prior to service time on Saturday.
