Arva W. Pigott

Graveside services for Mrs. Arva W. Pigott will be held Monday, July 9, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at Knoxo Community Cemetery in Walthall County, with Reverend Lynne Anderson officiating and Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Pigott, age 82, of Meridian, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Diversicare.

Arva was a member of Poplar Springs Drive United Methodist Church. She was born in Rome, GA where she met her husband, W.D. Pigott in 1954 while he was serving at Prospect United Methodist Church. They were married a year later, in April of 1955. Arva served with Brother Pigott in many churches in GA and MS. She enjoyed crafts, especially sewing for her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Reverend Wilton D. “W.D.” Pigott; daughters, Kathy Pigott, and Joann Covington (Dennis); son, Wade Pigott (Sheila); granddaughters, Amy Farlett (Jon), Sara Bowman (Michael), Emily Caldwell (Chase), Christina Pigott, and Elisabeth Pigott; great granddaughter, Mary Grace Caldwell; brother, Doyle White; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harlan and Oceal White (Rome, GA); and 2 sisters, and 3 brothers.
