Barbara "Bobbie" Jean Skipper Graveside service for Barbara "Bobbie" Jean Skipper will be held on Friday, September 5, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery, with Reverend Chris Gully officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Skipper, 84, of Columbia, South Caroline passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at her home. She was a licensed practical nurse at St. Joseph Hospital and Kings Daughter and Son Nursing Home. Mrs. Skipper was a member of Poplar Springs Drive Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, L.C. Skipper, Jr.; daughter, Barbara Skipper; sons, Ed Skipper, Scott Skipper and Thomas Skipper; daughter-in-laws, Phyllis Skipper, Sally Skipper and Holland Skipper; grandchildren, Julie Skipper, Virginia Skipper, Lauren Skipper and Bobbie Jo Skipper; and sisters, Polly Townsend and Peggy Hailey. She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Grady Clearman, mother, Aramae Smith; aunt, Pearl Haynes, whom raised her; one brother and seven sisters.
