Barbara Byrd Butler Odom Funeral services for Barbara Byrd Butler Odom will be held Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother David Deweese officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Odom, age 67, of Collinsville, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2014 at her residence. Mrs. Odom graduated from West Lauderdale High School and went on to get her Bachelors Degree of Nursing at the University of Southern Mississippi. She was a member of New Harvest Church. She was also a retired R.N. from East Mississippi State Hospital. The family would like to give a special thanks to Betty Grant and Triana Parker for the care they provided for Barbara. Survivors include her daughter, Fran Rigdon and husband, Kevin of Meridian; grandchildren, Peyton, Palmer, and Presley Rigdon; brother Ernest "Hot Shot" Byrd of McMinnville, Tennessee; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Odom; father, Ernest Byrd; mother Frances Byrd Palmer, and sister, Charlotte Byrd Stack Ward. Pallbearers will be Doug Calvert, Jerry Smith, Jimmy White, Jesse Futral, Steven Byrd, and Allen Cross. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook at robertbarhamffh.com.
