Mrs. Barbara Spurrier, age 77, of Meridian passed away December 6, 2016 at her residence.

She is survived by her daughters, Tami Spurrier and Jill Doolittle; son-in-law, Scott Doolittle; brother, Cecil Hoskins and wife, Claudette; sisters, Grace Royse and Mae Baker; niece, Carol Glenn, and their families; grand-children, Kevin Williams, Brandy Williams, Jacob Martin, Emma Martin, Joseph Woodall, and David Doolittle; great-grandchildren, Matthew and Denise Martin.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Richard “Speedy” Spurrier; parents, John Hoskins and Ethel Bishop; siblings, Verna Baker, Fern Woods, Cleo, Alfred, Kathy, and Helen Hoskins and John Hoskins Jr.

In lieu of flowers, a contribution to the Wounded Warriors project would be greatly appreciated.
