Bertha Mae Glover James Services for Bertha Mae Glover James will be held Friday, November 11, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Carmel Baptist Church, with Dr. Joe Anderson and Reverend Franklin McLelland officiating. Burial will be in Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. James, 84, of Meridian left for her eternal home with the Lord, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at Anderson Regional Medical Center North. She was a member of Carmel Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School and was very active in other ministries in the church. Mrs. James was a member of The Eastern Star and also a member of the Miriam Rebekah Lodge. She retired after nineteen years from Rush Hospital Central Supply. She will always be remembered as a loving, caring and dedicated mother, grandmother and friend. Survivors include her son Wayne James and his wife Susan of Meridian, Mississippi; daughters Jean Dean and her husband "Pee Wee" of Little Rock, Mississippi, Kay Beeman and her husband Ronnie of Kodak, Tennessee, and Debby Dearman Barnett of Meridian, Mississippi; eight grandchildren Jeannie Anne Steele, Shonda James, Kerri Gallaspy, Brooke Gibson, Tony James, Brian Beeman, Eric Dearman and Kevin Dearman; twelve great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Harold James; parents John and Dosha Glover; four brothers; four sisters; and two grandchildren Kyle Beeman and Lorna Lynn Dean. The family requests memorials be made to Carmel Baptist Church Building Fund, 1847 Highway 19 South, Meridian, Mississippi 39301or Gideon's International. Pallbearers will be Terry Schickel, Johnny Mars, Donald Tanner, Randy Parker, Buddy Glover, Chad Gibson and Tommy James. The honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Carmel Baptist Church.
