Bertha Ivey Starnes Graveside service for Bertha Ivey Starnes will be held Saturday, March 15, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Dr. Dan Lanier officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Starnes, 96, of Bailey died Sunday, March 9, 2014, at her residence. She was a homemaker and member of The Gideons Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include her children, Patricia and Jim Nelson of Bailey, Bill and Wallie Starnes of Meridian, Robert L. and Carolyn Starnes of Russell, Charles and Karen Starnes of Marion; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband of seventy-six years W. C. "Winston" Starnes, her parents Lloyd and Lena Ivey, infant brother, brother, Walter B. Ivey; sister, Judy Russell and grandson, Jonathan Starnes. The family request memorials be made to The Gideons International, the church of your choice or charity of your choice.
