Beryl Rush Gray Webb

Funeral Services for Mrs. Beryl Rush Gray Webb will begin at 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at First Christian Church in Meridian, MS with the Reverend Dr. Mark Benson officiating. Interment will follow graveside rites at Magnolia Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Webb, 92, of Meridian, died Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Brookdale Assisted Living in Meridian.

Beryl was born in Meridian, MS and was a resident of Meridian, Lizelia, and Chunky, MS. Beryl graduated from Meridian High School where she was a member of the Marching Band and was a Majorette. She was an original Member of the Dusty Social Service Club, represented the Mardi Gras Court for two years, was a member of the Wildcat Staff, Hostess Club, Spanish Club, and the Ballerina Club. She attended Randolph Macon College and graduated from Southern Methodist University in TX and was a member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority.

She was the CEO of Berivon Investments and Berivon Realty Corporation, where they manufactured and distributed the Pin that her Father, Dr. Leslie Rush, Sr. invented.

Beryl was active in her community serving on the boards of Meridian Little Theater, the Meridian Art Museum, Grand Opera House, and the Girl Scout Council; she served as President of the Meridian Junior Auxiliary, and the Marion Park PTA. She was also a Past Phi Kappa Mom.

In her spare time she was an Alpha Hi Steppers Dance Team Member, Wesley Bells Singing Group Member, Northwood Bowling League Member, Fortnightly Literary Club Member, Wattswood Garden Club Member. She also delivered Meals On Wheels to members of the community.

Beryl was a past member of Central United Methodist Church where she actively served on the Board of Trustees, Robert Hunt Sunday School Class, the Choir, and Bible Study Club. In her final years, she faithfully attended the very loving, First Christian Church of Meridian.

Mrs. Webb is survived by children Scott Gray, Jr. (Dawn), Brooks Gray (Kim), and Byron Gray; grandchildren, Cpt. Scott Gray, III, Emily Perren (John), Taylor Gray, Chance Gray (Kaitlyn), Tyler Gray, Olivia Gray, Madelyn Gray, and Harleigh Gray; great-grandchildren, Grady Perren and Dawson Gray; as well as and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Mrs. Beryl is preceded in death by her parents Dr. Leslie Rush, Sr. and Katherine Rush.

Pallbearers will be Scott Gray III, Chance Gray, Tyler Gray, Trent Gray, Trey Gray, and Joseph Gray. Honorary Pallbearer will be Michelle Miles.

Mrs. Webb’s Family suggests memorials be made as donations to First Christian Church in Meridian, in lieu of flowers.

Mrs. Webb’s Family will receive guests from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday, October 14, 2024, at the funeral home and from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM prior to funeral rites in the church.
