Funeral services for Miss Beth Covington will be held at 1:00 p.m. on her 90th birthday, Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Tom Sikes officiating. Interment will follow at Prospect Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Beth joined the Church Triumphant on June 9, 2024, at the age of 89. She was born and raised in the Bailey community of Lauderdale County, Mississippi. She graduated from Ponta High School and retired from Citizens National Bank after thirty-nine years of service.

She was a life-long member of Prospect Presbyterian Church where she served as church treasurer for forty-two years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marie Sanderford Covington and Joseph Stephens Covington; her siblings, Myrtle Valentine, Joe Allison Covington, Nonie Roberts, Daphne Hopper, and Cherry Kay Covington.

Beth is survived by her sister, Rachel Marie Covington; and five generations of loving nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Valentine, Kenny Covington, Al Covington, Ronny Roberts, David Hopper, and Joey Bass.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be shared with Prospect Presbyterian Church at 7876 Poplar Springs Drive, Meridian, MS 39305 or a charity of donor's choice.

The Covington family will receive guests from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home.
