Funeral services for Ms. Betsy Parnell will begin at 2:30 PM on Saturday, May 13th, 2023 at the chapel of Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Brother Ray Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Betsy Reynolds Parnell, age 74, passed away at her home on Wednesday, May 10, 2023.

Betsy was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved attending church and taking trips to her son's camp on the river. She also enjoyed gardening, crafting and animals, especially her dog "Sissy". Watching wrestling on television was one of her favorite hobbies. She would even call her family members to see if they were watching wrestling also.

She is survived by her daughter Melanie Stahl (Charles), her daughter Theresa Athey (Chris), her daughter Kim Hover (Ronnie), her son Shon McBrayer (Lindsey), her grandkids; Douglas, Brittany, Jessica, Chassity, Trey, Dustin, Natalie, Hunter, and Anna, her great-grandkids; Zack, Annsley, Jordan, Carly, Rhett, and Kinsley, her siblings Edward Reynolds, Dexter Reynolds (Patricia), Barbara Cullum (Tony), and Beth Moore (Billy), and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

She is preceded in death by her husband Frank Parnell, her parents Junior and Bessie Reynolds, her sister Cathy Reynolds.

Pallbearers will be Douglas May, Trevor Horne, Tony Cullum, Greg Reynolds, Travis Sanders, and Zack Smith.
