Services for Betty Ann Felks Ables will be held Tuesday, January 14, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Michael Sims officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Betty Ann Ables, age 66, died at her daughter's residence Friday, January 10, 2014 after an extended illness. She was born on November 16, 1947 to William and Daisy Felks. She married the love of her life, Walter "Mickey" Ables on January 6, 1967, and they had 44 wonderful years together before his death. She spent most of her employment years with Merchant Truck Lines, Winz Freight Lines, and Averrit Express. The last 10 years she worked for Rush Health Systems where she retired. Survivors include her daughters and son-in-laws, Rebecca and Michael Sims and Patricia and Jojo Harrison; grandchildren, Kayla and Buddy Margrave, Parker and Gavin Chaney, and Allie Harrison; great-grandchildren, Gauge Kirkpatrick and Kaden Margrave, all of Meridian; brother, Williams Felks Jr. (Jan) of Meridian; sisters, Linda Keys (Kim) of Forest, Brenda Cornelius of Tupelo, and Barbara Daniels (Neal) of Belden; brother-in-law, Willard Ables (Betty Jo)of Mobile, AL; sister-in-law, Betty Jean Moore of Mobile, AL; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, sister Frances Ellis, brother Michael Felks, and father and mother-in-law, Buck and Louise Ables. Pallbearers will be Dylan Reeves, Derek Gibson, Gary Minchew, Jamie Apperson, Randy Harrison, and Daniel Foreman. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook at robertbarhamffh.com.
