Betty Cady

Graveside services for Mrs. Betty Cady will begin at 11:00 AM Monday, June 3, 2024, at Tupelo Memorial Gardens with Dr. Raymon Leake officiating. Interment will follow graveside rites. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Cady, 87, of Meridian, died Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at The Preserve in Meridian.

Mrs. Betty was first and foremost a Christian. She was born and raised in Tupelo, MS, and graduated from Tupelo High School. She was married for over 67 years to James Donald Cady and they resided in Tupelo and Jackson before moving to Meridian. Together they were long-time members of First Baptist Church of Meridian where they attended as long as their health permitted. They were active in all facets of church life. Mrs. Cady retired as a bookkeeper at First Presbyterian Church in Meridian.

Mrs. Betty is survived by her son Jim Cady (Amy); grandchildren Emily Taylor (Trey), Mary Grace McDaniel (Doug), and Margaret Boyce (William). Great-grandchildren Max, Louis, John McDaniel; Martha and Patrick Taylor, Winn Boyce, and a host of extended family members.

Mrs. Cady is preceded in death by her husband, James Donald Cady; her parents Woodrow Wilson McCullough and Eleanor Hudson; and her brother Billy McCullough.

The Family suggests memorials be made as donations to First Baptist Church of Meridian in lieu of flowers.
