Betty Irby Haskett

A funeral service for Betty Haskett will be held Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Rev. Gib Prince and Rev. Charlie Laird officiating. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Mrs. Betty Haskett, age 77, of Meridian passed away Friday, December 15, 2023, with her family by her side.

Betty was born in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, during her childhood years she moved to Pascagoula, MS with her family. Several years later after moving to Meridian, she attended and graduated from Southeast Lauderdale High School. She was a loyal and dedicated worker for Mississippi Valley Gas Company for 39 years. During retirement she enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Betty was a faithful member of the Andrew Chapel Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her, she will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years Raymond C. Haskett; children, Karen Wedgeworth (Glynn) and Terry Haskett (Wanda); grandchildren, Josh Wedgeworth (Amber) and Bradley Wedgeworth (Ashley); great-grandchildren, Calli, Mary Blake, Riggs, Beckett Wedgeworth and Hudson Wedgeworth; sister, Glenda Harrison (Ben); numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Blanche Irby; siblings, Norma Kahl, Robert Irby, and Johnny Irby

Pallbearers will be Joey Irby, Jonathan Irby, Bo Smith, J.J. Fletcher, Randy Wedgeworth, and Houston Wedgeworth.

Visitation will be held Monday, December 18, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home.
