Betty Mauney Lacy Services for Betty Mauney Lacy will be held Saturday, October 22, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church in Meridian with Dr. John Temple officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Lacy, 81, a long-time resident of Meridian, died Saturday, October 15, 2011. She was born on March 28, 1930, in Gaffney, South Carolina and moved to Meridian in 1971. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family, friends and church. Survivors include her son Thomas Lacy; sister Patricia Bavaro; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and many other beloved family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-seven years, T. M. Lacy; her parents Sarah and Smith Mauney and her brother Marion Mauney.
