Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Miles will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Bro. Timmy Flake officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM at the funeral home prior to services. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Betty Miles, 83, of Meridian, MS, passed away Friday, February 13, 2026, at Baptist Anderson Regional Medical Center with family by her side.

Betty worked as a Diet Clerk at Rush Foundation Hospital for Forty Years, until her retirement. She was a faithful member of Gospel Lighthouse Church, where she joyfully served and delighted in God's Word. She found great joy in cooking for her family and friends, tending to her flower garden, reading and crocheting.

She is survived by her children, Teresa Whitaker and Joanie Arinder; grandchildren, Amanda Lampton (Chris), Rachel Whitaker, James William McDonald, Benjamin Adam McDonald, Tyler Miles, and Janna Arinder; 5 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews and other extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Miles, her parents, Sterling and Pennie Flake, daughter, Serita Faye McDonald, two infant children: siblings, Claudie Mae Smith, Cordie Boone, Peggy Cox, John Flake, and Serita Nowell.
