Betty Sykes Services for Betty Sykes will be held Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at 2:30 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Brother David Chandler officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Sykes, 83, of Meridian passed away Saturday July 5, 2014, at her home. Mrs. Sykes was born January 2, 1931 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Her family moved to Artesia, Mississippi where she was raised. Survivors include one daughter, Rita Sykes of Meridian; two granddaughters, Nikki Fryer and husband, Todd of Liberty, Missouri and Sandra Langley and husband, Richard of Liberty, Missouri; seven wonderful great-grandchildren, Spencer, Miller, Danielle, Dustin, Mara, Skylar, and Chelseia; and one great-great-grandchild, Zayden.
