Ms. Fulton, age 73, passed away on May 16, 2026 at Marion Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Betty was born on April 14, 1953 to the late Joe and Sue Stokes Troutman. She enjoyed growing up in Houma, Louisiana, and especially enjoyed attending Terre Bonne Parish School, where she was on the spirit team and proudly represented her favorite colors - blue and green. After moving back to Meridian, she graduated from Meridian High School in 1971. Following high school, she attended college and became a Registered Nurse. Later in life, she enjoyed working as an Assistant teacher at West Hills School. She was a devoted Christian, who through the years taught her children and many others in GA's while at Calvary Baptist Church. Later in life, she became a member of Hebron Baptist Church. Betty was a kind soul who never had a negative word to say about anyone. She enjoyed being with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and was a devoted "nana." She also loved to take road trips with her sister, Mitzie.
Survivors include her daughters, Amy Wilson (Carl) and Adrienne Miller; sister, Mitzie Troutman; sister-in-law, Betty Reed; grandchildren, Josh Wilson (Kristin), Dillon Wilson (Alex); great-grandchildren, Emily Smith, Chloe Wilson, Landon Wilson, and Lizzy Wilson; and numerous other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Kelly Jr. and one brother, David Reed.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Lauderdale County Animal Shelter (6100 Rocky Lane, Marion, MS 39342).
Pallbearers will be Carl Wilson, Josh Wilson, Dillon Wilson, and Keith Reed. Honorary pallbearers will be Kelly McDevitt and Landon Wilson.
