Betty Joyce “Aunt Joyce” Gillis Partridge Woodard

Services for Betty Joyce Woodard will be held Saturday, January 23, 2016, at 12:00 p.m. at Bluff Springs Baptist Church, in Kemper County, with Dr. John Temple officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Woodard, age 85, of Meridian, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2016 at the Christa House.

Survivors include her husband, Oscar L. “Skinny” Woodard; sister, Mattie Lee Whittington; two special nieces, Judy Ford (Richard) and Regina Sanders; and a host of other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Enos Partridge; parents, Dause and Pearl Gillis; six brothers; five sisters; three nephews; and one niece.

Pallbearers will be Richard Ford, Richie Ford, Derek Ford, Cole Ford, Brandon Hall, and Darrell Gillis.

Honorary pallbearers will be Albert Ray Dick and Mason Ford.

The family requests memorials be made in her honor to Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church, East Mississippi Animal Rescue, or the charity of your choice.
