Bettye Woodward

Funeral services for Bettye Woodward will be held Monday, March 7, 2016, at 1:00 p.m.,  at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home, with Reverend Franklin McLelland officating.  Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Woodward, 89, of Meridian, passed away March 3 at Anderson Hospital.

Bettye enjoyed working her booth at the flea market.  When she walked into a room, she sparkled and her smile was contagious. She loved fishing and traveling, especially to the Smokey Mountains, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Bettye is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Ron) Fagan; grandson, Daricek (Crystal) Shelby; great-granddaughters, Cameron Shelby and Landyn Shelby; and brother, Norman Carter of Warren, Arkansas; her beloved fur babies, Bo Man and Little Man; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Rudy Daricek and Carroll “Woody” Woodward; her parents, George and Nan Carter; and seven brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers will be Wayman Newell, Thomas Lamar Shelby, Don Hunter, and Wayne Raley.
