Billie Jean Massey Harper Services for Billie Jean Massey Harper will be held, Sunday, August 4, 2013, at 2:30 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Roy Dabbs officiating. Burial will be in Old Marion Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Harper, 76, of Meridian, died Friday, August 2, 2013, at Anderson Regional Medical Center with her family by her side. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Harper loved her family and church. She was living at Aldersgate and enjoyed living there. Survivors include her sons, Charles Harper, and wife Sallie of Meridian, and Harold Harper, and wife Rebecca of Meridian; grandchildren, Brian Harper of Meridian and Chelsey Harper of Madison, Mississippi; great-grandson Daymon Palmer, brother, Ronnie Massey and wife Ilene of Meridian and Raymond Massey and wife Edna Earle of Meridian; sisters, Audrey Masque and husband Willie of Gulfport, Katie Bragg of Meridian, and Joyce White and husband Doug of Vicksburg; sister-in-law Catherine Creel and husband Jerry of Meridian and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Bob Harper; grandson Chad Harper; parents, Lamar and Stella Massey; brother, Rayford Massey and sister, Artis Harper. Pallbearers will be Glenn Harper, Mike Booker, Dale Creel, Gary Harper, and Randy Harper. Honorary pallbearers will be Davis Burkhalter, Jimmy Smith and Billy McInnis.
