Billy Jacob Godwin

Funeral services for Mr. Billy Godwin will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 11:00am at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home, with Bro. Bob Dominy officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Godwin, age 80, of Meridian, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018, at Rush Hospital.

He loved to work. He worked for the City of Meridian Water Department for thirty-eight years. After retiring from the city, he worked for O’Reilly Auto Parts for sixteen years. He had many friends and was well known by many. He loved his family.

Survivors include his wife of sixty-one years, Margaret Godwin; children,  Beverly Godwin (Robert) Davidson, Joyce Ann Gressett, Donna Godwin; grandchildren, Candy (Robby) Scribner, Sandra (Frank) Jones, Laura (Jay) Bolen, Scott Davidson, Karen Massey, Denise (John) Chaney, Chanda Smith, and Tommy (Alisha) Smith; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Stacy Gressett; his parents, Tom and Mary Pearl Godwin; his sister, Peggy Jones; and his nephew, Glynn Jones.

The family requests memorials be made to the Special Olympics.
