Billy Gene Jay, Jr. Services for Billy Gene Jay, Jr. will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 11:00 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Reverends Albert McMullin, Roy Dabbs and Ron Leonard officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Jay, 61, of the Snell Community died April 22, 2012 at his residence. He was retired from Chevron Oil Company, owner and operator of G&G Construction, and co-owner of Blue Ridge Sanitation. Mr. Jay served on the Longcreek Water Association. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather to five beautiful little girls. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Jay of Snell Community; mother, Winnifred Jay of Snell Community; sons, Jeff Jay and his wife Kim of Meridian, Billy Joe Jay and his wife Tanya of Meridian; sister, Teresa Roberts and her husband Ronny of Snell Community; sister-n-law, Tricia Lucus and her husband Charles; mother and father-n-law, Clyde and Ola Faye Mosley of Meridian; granddaughters, Jordin Johnson, Jade Jay, Falon Jay, Raegan Jay and Rivers Jay; nephews, Eric James, Don Lucus and Ryan Lucus; nieces, Jerra Brillhart and Brandy Roberts. He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Gene Jay, Sr.; grandparents, Herman and Madge Jay, Carlton and Edrie Sollie. The family requests memorials be made to Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children in honor of Jordan Harbour. Pallbearers will be Wayne Raley, Danny Napp, Dennis Riley, Larry Hurtt, Paul Singley, Larry Johnson, Monte Sellers and Tony Davidson.
