Billy Joe Fuller

Graveside services for Billy Joe Fuller will be held Friday, February 5, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Kewanee, with Reverend Mike McKee of Cuba Baptist Church officiating and Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Fuller, 81, of Kewanee, passed away February 2, 2016, at Rush Specialty Hospital.

Mr. Fuller was born to Joseph Herbert and Pearl Elizabeth Hamburg Fuller on July 26, 1934.  He graduated from Dixie Highway School and worked as a plumber until his retirement.  He enjoyed hunting white tail deer and turkeys.  He joined the US Navy on August 6, 1952 and served until he was honorably discharged.  He was a very kind and gentle soul, had a loving and generous heart, and was always giving to others.

Billy Joe is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Shirley Kathryn Griffin Fuller; children, Jan Cade, Sammy Fuller, Kaye Reynolds, and Jeff (Diane) Fuller; grandchildren, Nathan Cade, Amanda Fuller, Michael (Jennifer) Fuller, Christopher (Melissa) Fuller, Emily Fuller (Andrew) Northrup, JC (Jessica) Fuller, Jessie Fuller (Ryan) Moore, and Haley Fuller; sixteen great-grandchildren: Ethan Cade, Ellijanna Cade, Nicholas Gregory, Brandon Gregory, Kayla Gregory, Cody (Megan) Fuller, Austin Chandler, Maddison Fuller, Hunter Fuller, Hunter McCarty, Rylan Fuller, Braxton Fuller, Blain Northrup, Brea Northrup, Justice Venable, and R.J. Fuller; three great-great-grandchildren: Brayden Ratcliff, Linley Fuller and Ridge Fuller; brother, Charles (Pat) Fuller; and sister, Juanice Fuller (James) Goodman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Herbert and Pearl Elizabeth Hamburg Fuller; two sisters, Ethel Fuller Jay and Patricia Fuller Fairchild; three brothers, James Everette Fuller, Curtis Ray Fuller and William Asa “Jack” Fuller; and grandson, Ronald Wayne “Ronnie” Fuller, Jr.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Southern Care Hospice for their support in his final days.  A special thanks to his hospice nurse, Shannon White, and his faithful sitters, Kitty Tilley and Kesia Wilson.

Pallbearers will be Andy Northrup, Christopher Fuller, Michael Fuller, JC Fuller,
Vance Graham, and Thomas Williams.
