Billy Joe Harris Graveside services for Billy Joe Harris will be Monday, March 7, 2011 at 11:00 at Meehan Cemetery, with Reverend Jim Smith officiating. Burial will be in Meehan Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Harris, 76, of the Meehan Community, died Friday March 4, 2011 at his residence. He was born in Meehan, MS, on February 14, 1935. He was a retired construction worker. Mr. Harris was a Master Mason, member of Lodge 138, Shriner and a longtime member of the Meridian Moose Lodge. Survivors include his sons Billy Hilton Harris and his wife Lisa, Derwin Neal Harris and his wife Tammy; grandchildren, Chris Harris and his wife Amanda, Patrick Harris, Shelby Harris, Sarah Harris, Noah Harris, and Caleb James "CJ" Harris, all of Meehan; brother, Raymond Noah Harris and his wife Betty; several cousins, nieces and nephews; and special friend, Sylvia Compton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Noah Hilton Harris and Sarah Evelyn Martin Harris; wife, Mary Lou Willingham Harris; son, Ervin Joe Harris; brothers, Martin Harris, Mack Harris, and Leroy Harris; and sister, Ella Jean Harris Hayes. Pallbearers will be, Chris Harris, Patrick Harris, Noah Harris, CJ Harris, Lee Martin, Ray Martin, Kevin Garner and Pete Ethridge.
