Funeral services for Mr. Billy Scruggs will begin at 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Raymon Leake and Bro. Derrick Simmons officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Scruggs. 67, of Meridian, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Anderson Regional Medical Center of Meridian.

Mr. Scruggs was the owner and operator for over 20 years of Bill’s Small Engines in Meridian; he was very passionate about his business and all he encountered through it. He was known to have never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone in their time of need. He will be remembered for his generous spirit and willingness to give away his worldly possessions to help others. He was a Christian first and foremost and was devoted to sharing his love for Christ to all he met. He was known by his two grandsons as “Grandpaw” and will be dearly missed.

Mr. Scruggs is survived by his wife of 27 years, Margaret Scruggs; children, William Briggs, and Frank Briggs (Genie). Grandchildren, Draven Thompson, and William Carson Briggs. III. Siblings, Ray Scruggs, Lois “Sis” Harper, Sue Scruggs, Kathy Williams, Kay Morvant, and JoAnn Wilson as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Scruggs is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Russell Scruggs, Sr. and Lois Rae Scruggs. Siblings Charles Russell Scruggs, Jr., Michael Wayne Scruggs, and Julia Ann McElhenney.
