Bobbie Jean Mathis Matthews Seamstress Services for Bobbie Jean Mathis Matthews will be held Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at 10:00 at Pine Grove Church, with Reverend Bob Followell officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Matthews, 83 of the Martin Community died Friday, February 18, 2011 at her residence. Survivors include her daughter, Vickie Tabert and her husband Dale of the House Community; son, Charlie Mathis and daughter-in-law, Jean Mathis, both of the Martin Community; adopted daughter, Elon Mixon; step-daughters, Dorothy Merle, Linda and Frances; seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Calvert; mother, Mattie Calvert; son, Mike Mathis; first husband, Cecil Mathis; second husband, Reverend E.A. Matthews; three sisters and five brothers. Pallbearers will be Chuck Mathis, Richie Talbert, Tyler Dean, Terry Davis, Joe Bland, Mickey May, Trent Mathis and Casey McElhenney.
