Bobby E. Gibson

Funeral services for Bobby Gibson will be held Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Bro. Franklin McLelland, Bro. Jimmy Culpepper, and Bro. Gilbert Eaves officiating. Burial will follow at Causeyville Baptist Church Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Gibson, age 79, of Meridian, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama.

Bobby was a lifelong resident of Lauderdale County, however he saw most of the United States behind the wheel of an 18-wheeler as a truck driver. He loved his family very much and thought his granddaughter hung the moon.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Carolyn Gibson; daughter, Cindy (David) Morris; granddaughter, Michelle (Zach) Flanagan; sister, Linda (Harrell) McLauren; also survived by Deena West, Billie Little, Dawn Purvis, and Mike Spangler.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Algie and Louise Gibson; father and mother-in-law, R.E. and Kate Daniel.

Pallbearers will be Steven Johnson, Wayne Johnson, Zach Flanagan, James Corn, Reggie Abston, and Scotty Taylor.

Honorary pallbearer will be Jimmy Corn.
