While overseas, Mr. Harrison played on the Army baseball team and traveled with the team all over Europe. When he returned home, he married Doreen, in 1949 and continued his baseball career with the Greenville Greenies, Meridian Millers, Colombus Cardinals, and Allentown Cardinals. Following his retirement, Bobby spent most of his time out on the golf course at Briarwood Country Club where he and his wife were dedicated members. He entered his grandfather era in the 1980's and proved to be the best grandfather to his four grandchildren. He remained in Meridian with his wife until 2020, when he and his wife moved to Jackson, MS to an assisted living facility. After the death of his wife, Mr. Harrison at the age of 95 moved to Florida with his youngest granddaughter and her family.
