Funeral services for Mr. Bobby Ray Kidd will begin at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Enterprise Baptist Church Life Center with Dr. Evan Akins officiating. Burial will follow at Orange Cemetery in Jasper County. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Bobby Ray Kidd, 93, of Pachuta, passed away March 12, 2024, at his residence, surrounded by his loving wife, children, and grandchildren. He was the devoted husband of Jonie Merle Melton of Pachuta, and they shared 69 beautiful years of marriage together.

Born in Enterprise, Mississippi September 22, 1930, he was the son of Will and Jewel Kidd and the youngest of six children. Mr. Kidd was a graduate of Enterprise High School. He worked for Southern Natural Gas and retired after 37 years of employment. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard for three years as a Sergeant First Class in the 115th Battalion.

Mr. Kidd was a lifelong member of Enterprise Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon for 40 plus years. After retirement, Mr. Kidd could be found on his farm growing vegetables and tending to his cattle. He will forever be remembered as the "Tomato Man" as he spent many summer days selling his Kidd Farm produce to locals at the Farmers Market.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jonie; three children, Randy (Linda), Julie (Kevin), and Mark (Jackie); five grandchildren, Kevin Harper, Krystal Turner (Chad), Amanda Randall (Chris), Jonathan Parker (Courtney), and Will Kidd (Kamrie); and six great-grandchildren, Kylee Raye and Darby Dewitt, Aubree Randall, William Parker, Emma and Kyzer Kidd, Jess Thrash, Riley, Maddox, and Neely Turner.

He is preceded in death by his parents and five older siblings Otha Kidd, Oscar Kidd, Dorothy Kidd Kersh, Eleanor Kidd Johnson, and Peyton Kidd.

The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to the Enterprise Baptist Church Building Fund, 400 River Road, Enterprise, Mississippi 39330.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Parker, Will Kidd, Chris Randall, Chad Turner, Wayne Kidd, Andy Kersh, Bill Johnson, and Larry Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers will be William Parker, Kyzer Kidd, and Kevin Harper.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM prior to the service at the church.
