Bobby D. Long

Funeral services for Mr. Bobby Long will begin at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2018 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Dr. John Temple officiating. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Long, 79, of Birmingham, AL, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Diversicare of Meridian.

Mr. Bobby was an avid gardener raising many bonsai trees. He also loved to bowl where he often participated in a bowling league. Mr. Long appreciated the arts and was an amateur artist himself. In his spare time he also loved to travel especially the Smokey Mountains. Granddaddy was his favorite title which was given by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mr. Long is survived by the mother of his children, Judy Long; two children, Charles (Candace) Long, Angela (Joe) French; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Judith Banks, his parents, three brothers and one sister.

The family request that donations be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s research in lieu of flowers.
