Bobby L. Mcelroy, Sr.

Funeral services for Mr. Bobby L. McElroy, Sr. will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home. Reverend Ben Jones will officiate the service. Burial will follow the service at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. McElroy, age 72, of Lauderdale passed away on March 25, 2019 at Anderson Regional Medical Center of Meridian.

Mr. McElroy was an avid fisherman, hunter, and jack of all trades. He worked for many years as a plumber for McElroy Plumbing. Mr. McElroy will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

He is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Marcia Thompson McElroy; children, Robin Harrison, Betty McElroy, Robby McElroy (Angie), and Shawn Hannington (Liza); ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Ann Johnson (John), Betty Hopper, Nancy Haskins, Jeanne Bruce, and Linda Thompson (Jimmy); one brother, Ben Thompson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Pallbearers will be Mr. McElroy’s grandsons and friends.
