Bonnie Jean Fairchild Cook Services for Bonnie Jean Fairchild Cook will be held Friday, April 6, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church on Highway 45 South, with Reverend Doug Goodman and Reverend James Gibson officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Cook, 76, of Meridian died Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at her residence. Mrs. Cook was a lifetime member of New Hope Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher for over twenty- five years. Also, she worked for twenty- five years as a receptionist for Dr. Gillespie. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. The love of her life was her church and family. Survivors include her husband of fifty-four years Tommy Cook of Meridian, three children T. R. Cook, Jr. and wife Missy of Meridian, Lynn Miller and husband Greg of Meridian and Anita Smith and husband Tommy of Meridian, grandchildren Ashley Webb and husband Josh, Adam Cook, Eric Irby, Callie Threatt and husband Vaughn, Jessica Fisher and husband Kevin and Jacob Smith, two great-grandchildren Carter Fisher and Ethan Threatt, brother Leonard Fairchild and wife Mary, sister Bobbie Flynn and husband Ralph and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her twin brother Billy Joe Fairchild and her parents L.J. and Lucille Fairchild. The family requests memorials be made to the Anderson Cancer Center Benevolence Fund. Pallbearers will be Adam Cook, Jacob Smith, Eric Irby, Josh Webb, Vaughn Threatt and Kevin Fisher.
