Bonnie Smith Joiner Retired Registered Nurse Services for Bonnie Smith Joiner will be held Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with the Reverends Wayne Edwards and Bill Webb officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Baptist Cemetery (Neshoba County) with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Joiner, age 80, of Meridian, died Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Anderson Hospital. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and a faithful member of Midway Baptist Church. Granny excelled in the garden and in the kitchen. She was an example of a Godly woman who was devoted to her family, friends, and Heavenly Father, who she faithfully served for many years. While she will be greatly missed, we are comforted that she will join those who have passed before her and receive her heavenly reward. Survivors include her daughters, Beth Griffin and her husband Mason, of Birmingham, Alabama, and Beverly Smith and her husband Robert, of Meridian. She is also survived by a son, Markey Joiner and his wife Sky, of Meridian; her grandchildren, Candy Cornish and her husband Bill, Win Joiner and his wife Lindsey, Jessica Kuhr and her husband Olen, and Christen Joiner. She is also survived by a great granddaughter, Payton Cornish; two great grandsons, Braxton Cornish and Drake Joiner; and two sisters, Thellis Winstead and her husband Wilbur, of Meridian, and Patsy Holloway and her husband Danny of Meridian. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Arlo Joiner; her brother, Odie Smith; her sisters, Sadie Hardy, Myrtis Skinner, Delma Moorehead, Ruby Skinner, Ruth Chapin, Hildred Matkosky, and Nell Ward. Memorials may be made to Edwin Arlo and Bonnie Smith Joiner Scholarship Fund at Meridian Community College. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 19, 2011. Pallbearers will be Win Joiner, Bill Cornish, Olen Kuhr, Dennis Matkosky, Terry Winstead, Jeff Holloway, Mike Joyner, Danny Joyner and Everett Rickles. Honorary Pallbearers include her nephews.
